It’s also very important to research your builder. Speak to their past clients, check references – even speak to the sub contractors the builder has used to ensure they are going to work with you and not against you.
It’s very much like seeing a cardiologist versus a GP; the specialist skills of high profile professionals generally cost more. And if they don’t, I would be very wary. It is a bit like going to a cosmetic surgeon in Thailand!"
